Sorry it took so long to get back to a computer but that is just how it goes =0) Stephen is doing great. I was actually surprised at how well he looked after the surgery...it was a lot less scary looking this time around. Right now they are working on extubating him. They have him doing most or all the breathes but will keep the ventilator in for another 30 minutes, draw a blood as, and if everything looks good they will be removing the tube in a little while. He is finally starting to wiggle around and move which can actually be hard to look at. His little body just convulses as he tries to gain control of muscles again. But he seemed to respond to our voices and tried opening his eyes and even gripped my finger. God is soooo good! Please continue to pray for his healing. As he wakes up he will begin to feel more and more pressure in his head which will be quite painful. It will take his body a few days to adjust to its new circulation but hopefully the headaches will resolve themselves before we go home. Please also pray for no infections and that he would just sail through recovery. I just love this little guy so much and can't wait to have him back in my arms!!!
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him
Psalm 28:7

So happy to see this update. Praising God and thanking Him for His tender mercy. Will continue to pray for healing and his little body to respond well to all the changes. Our God is the great Healer! Praise His holy name!
